Dortmund, Germany – May 27, 2025 – Indie publisher Bold Head Interactive and Saarland-based developer Pentapaw Studios are excited to announce Yarn Guardians, a charming 2D action-adventure game that combines twin-stick shooting with Metroidvania-style exploration. Bursting with hand-drawn art, fast-paced combat, and cozy storytelling, Yarn Guardians is launching in August 2025 on Steam, Epic Games Store, and Nintendo Switch.
About the Game
In Yarn Guardians, players take on the role of Rudy, a flying cat whose peaceful life is shattered after a sudden attack on his home. On a quest to become one of the legendary Yarn Guardians, Rudy must recover five magical yarn balls and prevent an impending war—encountering shady characters, brave allies, and curious creatures along the way.
